TechTalk: Getting started with Serverless

Our ninjas Artem Arkhipov and Victor Kis shared their knowledge on our last TechTalk "Getting started with Serverless". The first speaker, Lead Front-end Developer, Artem Arkhipov made for us «Introduction to Serverless with Firebase».

This tech-talk focuses on basic Google Firebase features which give us a possibility to create simple serverless (BaaS) architecture for the web application. Beyond understanding such Firebase services as «Authentication», «Storage», «Database» and «Hosting», we will also try to set security rules for database and deploy a project using Firebase CLI. In the end, we will get simple, but secure web application with some real-time features.

Viktor Kis, Node.js & DevOps Engineer, presented us the basics of serverless architecture, its pros and cons, comparison with other architectures: "Monolithic", "Microservices", and how you can build serverless with AWS services namely "Lambda", "API Gateway".
